| NEW PRODUCTS FROM STERTIL AT IMHX 2007 |

|
Market-leader Stertil is to launch the latest in its range of high-speed Rapid-Roll doors at IMHX 2007. The Rapid-Roll 600 has been developed to cope with the most demanding environments and intensive traffic and will be showcased for the first time at IMHX, at Birmingham's NEC from 13th - 16th March.
The Rapid-Roll 600 has a modular construction which makes it easy to tailor to the requirements of individual customers. Designed to cope with heavy traffic levels and tough conditions both inside and out, the Rapid-Roll 600 is weather-resistant and has a wind resistance in accordance with EN12424, class 3 - in other words, up to hurricane force! With an opening speed of up to 3.2 metres per second, the new 600 is fast and, because the door curtain is fully tensioned at all times when moving, safe opening and closing is guaranteed. Good design is a priority for Stertil and the Rapid-Roll 600 not only performs well, it looks good too. The door curtain is made from Rolltex, a hard-wearing woven polyester fabric that is available in many colour options.
Also on show at IMHX will be Stertil's Rapid-Roll 3000 door, which uses Disc-Drive technology for a faster, quieter winding mechanism, with speeds of up to 2500mm per second. The 3000 is low-maintenance and extremely durable, with long service intervals. Its Disc-Drive technology winds the aluminium slats separately, keeping vibration and noise to an absolute minimum.
The lack of contact between the slats also protects them from damage: there is no distortion, even after frequent use. The slats are linked without hinges and each section is individually mounted in steel core rubberised carrying belts, giving the Rapid-Roll 3000 an elastic flexibility. Significantly, up to two thirds of the curtain surface can be fitted with window shutters to increase light and improve visibility.
Stertil's HW Ergonomic Dock Leveller will also be highlighted at IMHX 2007. The HW Dock Leveller cuts maintenance costs, improves operator safety and reduces damage to goods, simply by reducing the angle between platform and lip. The lip design is patented and the leveller has a special energy-absorbing rear hinge, providing faster, smoother transition between leveller and vehicle. The parallelogram hinge construction ensures the crown angle between the lip and the platform is reduced, cutting the impact on materials handling equipment and reducing maintenance costs by up to 50%. Noise levels are also reduced, thanks to a polyurethane strip in the hinge assembly.
Featuring a variety of loading bay accessories complementing the larger exhibits, Stertil UK's stand (No. 20D20) is one that's well worth visiting.
IMHX 2007 is the number one showcase for businesses involved in materials handling and supply-chain products, services, applications and solutions. With astounding growth over recent years, it's the largest gathering of materials handling and logistics professionals in the UK. IMHX takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 13th - 16th March 2007. |
