| SATISFIED STERTIL KONI CUSTOMER COMES BACK FOR MORE |

|
Dundee City Council installed a selection of Stertil Koni vehicle lifts into its new workshop back in 2001. So happy has the Council been with the performance and reliability of the lifts, it has recently added to its collection with the purchase of a Vega 240 parallelogram lift and a TR35 in-ground lift.
The new Vega lift has been installed into the wash bay of the vehicle workshop, where its 24-tonne capacity will be used to support vehicles being steam-cleaned. The Vega's electro-hydraulic components and galvanised construction make it an ideal choice for wash bay use and different versions and lengths are available to suit articulated buses and coupled tractor/trailer units.
Specified to safely lift small road sweepers during maintenance and servicing operations, the Council's new TR35 in-ground lift is a twin-ram model offering a lifting capacity of 3.5 tonnes. The lift is available with swivelling arms and drive-on rails plus a choice of carrier bridges and head pieces.
The Council's Waste Management Department operates a large fleet of vehicles carrying out waste collections across the city. Routine maintenance and repair is carried out regularly on the Council's 150-strong fleet. A range of Stertil's vehicle lifts is used in the Council's purpose-built workshop, including mobile column lifts, which are particularly useful in the workshop's 'pit-free' environment.
In 2001, Stertil installed four sets of its ST1072 mobile column lifts as well as four sets of tall axle stands. The 25-tonne capacity ST4250, the KS2050, which lifts five tonnes, and the SK2030, which offers three tonnes capacity, completed the original order.
"Excellent performance and extremely reliable," confirms Stewart Dodd, Dundee City Council's Team Leader, describing the existing lifts. "We have had a great experience so far with the lifts installed in 2001 and Stertil's service is second to none. We had no hesitation in going back to them when we wanted to purchase additional lifts."
Stertil Koni is a market leader in the production of high quality, reliable vehicle lifts and concentrates not just on selling the equipment, but also on ensuring it has a long working life. The company uses its own factory-trained engineers and keeps parts in stock for at least 25 years after production. Stertil Koni was the first lifting system manufacturer to be awarded ISO 9001 and is part of the Stertil Group. |
